Day Forty: Forty Days of Gratitude

This day I am thankful for:
     - How hard it was to do this for 40 days

     - That after today I don’t have to sit down and actually write these out

     - That I want to do it again

     - That I learned something about gratitude

     - That disciplines are hard but useful

     - My family

     - Church

     - Nature

     - Music

     - Love

This day I am thankful for:
     - The hymn CD I was just given

     - Silly people

     - Private humor

     - Garbage day

     - Garden work yet to do

     - Humility

     - People who are willing to stand up for people who can’t stand up

     - Forgetfulness

     - Memory

     - Earrings

This day I am thankful for:
     - Airplanes, which I hate but I am glad we have them

     - Taxi’s

     - Missing the old pay phones

     - Good work

     - Students

     - Little children’s view of the world

     - That we can praise God without anyone telling us we can’t

     - Hanging baskets of flowers

     - Teens who do well

     - Sad teens that teach us to pay attention

     - The task of writing down what I am grateful for

     - Broccoli, the perfect food

     - Less sugar

     - A good night’s sleep

     - A new colorful magazine

     - Trusting God

     - Trusting myself

     - The ability to walk my dog

     - My friend neighbors

     - Trains

     - Band-aides

     - That my front year has no crocodiles

     - That I have indoor plumbing

     - That I have water that comes out of tap

     - Showers

     - Amazing sunsets
